St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries is situated at a large, old-fashioned, red-bricked department store in London called Purge and Dowse Ltd. It has signs in the window that says "Closed for Refurbisment" and fashions that look ten years out of date. By talking to an ugly female dummy wearing a green pinafore dress, it allows access into the hospital. This is done by walking through the glass.

Inside there is a welcomewitch to help those who do not know what floor they need to be on or where to find patients. There are no doctors here, only Healers. Some Healers are contreversial and use alternative medicene; Muggle methods.

On the ground floor, is the Artefacts Accidents Department where you go for such injuries as cauldron explosion, wand backfiring and brrom crashes.

On the first floor it is for Creature-related injuries such as bites, stings, burns and embedded spines.

The second floor hosts Magicsl Bugs. This is contagious maladies such as dragon pox, vanishing sickness and Scrofungulus.

Potion and plant poisoning is on the third floor and deals with rashes, regurgitation and uncontrollable giggling.

Spell Damage consisitng of unliftable jinxes, hexes and incorrectly applied charms is on the fourth floor.

The visitor's tearoom and hospital shop is on the fifth floor.
